Why
should I hire KVP?
Choosing the right videographer is very important. Filming a wedding
is a one shot deal, so you have to make sure you choose the videographer
that fits you best. We specialize in creating a product that is
tailored to your personalities. We'll meet with you prior to your
day and capture your thoughts and expectations. Then come the special
event, we'll be prepared to capture footage that will help us create
the video that you'll enjoy most. Call and let's set up a meeting
and see if we're a fit.
What can I expect from your product?
We don't have a cookie cutter approach to videos. We want to film
and capture the events of your day from a perspective most memorable
to you. Some couples prefer the classical approach. Some prefer
a whimsical approach. While others want a combination of the two.
We can guarantee that our ability to combine artistic flair with
touching humor is unparalleled. We'll have as much fun making your
video as you will watching it.
How
long will the final version be?
Edited tapes can range from 15 minutes to upwards of 3 hours depending
on the length of the ceremony and the amount of peripheral activity
included in your package. Part of what we'll discuss up front is
what you want your video to be. Since we don't adhere to a formula
when making videos, the boundaries are limitless.
Is
your equipment professional and up to date?
The cameras used are compact, professional quality, digital, three-chip
DV video cameras. The footage is artistically loaded to a computer
based top of the line editing software. Your DVDs (or VHS tapes
if you want), will look as clear and as bright as they can possibly
be.
Are
you and your equipment inconspicuous when you are shooting?
Most couples remark that they didn't notice we were there and are
surprised by the extensive coverage. Our videos are in a style of
documenting, not directing or staging. We focus on trying to capture
what's happening not force it.
Do you use lighting?
While some light may be necessary to use (small, on-camera light)
during the reception because of the low available light in most
halls, lights are rarely ever used at the ceremony. Some night weddings
require lighting. We don't want to bother or annoy you or your guests.
With our three-chip digital camera we can make the best of low light
situations.
Do you have back-ups in case of equipment malfunctions?
We keep backups of every piece of equipment in case of an emergency.
Usually the biggest need is for batteries, which can be replaced
in a matter of seconds. With multiple cameras on site, we protect
ourselves from losing even a second of footage.
Will
you travel to nearby locations?
We're
available to shoot weddings anywhere in North Florida or South Georgia.
We won't charge anything extra for single trips to locations within
an hour or two of Tallahassee (including St George island). For
other locations throughout North Florida and South Georgia, there
may be an additional mileage charge. We will also consider metro
Atlanta, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, and as far west as Biloxi.
Will
you be professional in your appearance?
Absolutely. You can only expect a class act, both in demeanor and
dress. Again we want to stress that we're there to support you and
your family, not to interrupt or disturb.
Do
you tape other activities that are not held at the church or reception
hall?
You bet we can. We've got a variety of creative ideas that can include:
the rehearsal and/or dinner, preparations at the house, interviews
with you and your family. It depends on what you want to include
in your wedding documentary.
Are
you available for beach weddings?
Yes!
In fact, one of our own had his wedding on the beach and knows the
in-and-outs quite well. There's no extra charge for a beach wedding.
The Gulf Coast has several great locations, just let us know which
one(s) you're considering. Or simply call for some advice.
Do
you require a retaining fee for your services?
Yes, a retainer of 1/3 of the contracted total is standard. All
of that amount (less $100) is refundable up to 30 days before the
ceremony in case of a change of date or postponement. The second
1/3 is due a week before the wedding day. The final 1/3 balance
is due upon delivery of the final product. Internet access is required
for credit card payments (Paypal is accepted).
Do you interview guests at the reception?
Interviews are pretty popular. When people are having a good time,
they generally like to talk and give the bride and groom some advice,
or more likely tell some nice stories. If you prefer us to not do
interviews, please let us know.
Can
we select music for you to use in the editing process?
Yes. Songs are extremely important to the video, so if you've got
music you want included, please let us know and we'll include it.
We've got quite a selection of music that we can choose from. It's
also important to let us know genres/artists to avoid.
Can
we have special photos, slides or home video edited into our wedding
video?
Another great idea! We can include a "Photo Montage" into
the package. This is a great accessory to have for the rehearsal
entertainment and/or to play at the reception. We can get together
prior to the wedding day and prepare a montage with pictures of
bride and groom growing up, family members, etc. In some cases,
we can even get pictures from the wedding and include them in the
reception slide show.
How soon can we expect to receive our edited DVD(s) and/or tape(s)?
Our goal is to have a completed project within 60 days of the wedding.
Depending on the complexity of the wedding and/or the "personality"
of the video, we may even have it done earlier. If there are any
delays (busy season, etc.) we'll let you know as soon as we can.
We're also flexible with your schedule as well. We had one bride
that wanted copies within two weeks to give as gifts to family members.
Can
I preview the wedding video before you're done?
You bet. Its YOUR video, so we want you to be happy with it. Some
couples like to preview a "draft version" of the video
within about 30-45 days, some couples like to wait until its complete
and be surprised. Bottom line is it is your keepsake, so let's make
sure that it fits you!
